Week of May 1st - May 5th
: This week we will be reading the stories “Alexander Graham Bell” and “Inventions” with lessons focusing on the vowel digraphs /aw/, /au/ and short e : /ea/ as in bread and thread. We will practice the comprehension skill of drawing conclusions. Our focus question for the week is – How can a great idea change the way we live?

We will have a reading test on the story “Alexander Graham Bell” and the high frequency words on Thursday, May 4, 2017.
We will continue Unit 6 – Vowel Pairs, Vowel Digraphs, and Diphthongs which theme is “Dinosaur Days.” This week we will learn to read and write words with the vowel digraph sound of /ea/ the short e sound you hear in

We will continue Chapter 8 Time & Money. This week we will learn to estimate if a tasks takes about 1 hour or 1 minute. We will practice ordering events using morning afternoon and evening as well as first, next and last. We will learn to identify ordinal position 11
