Mrs. Webre asked her Kindergarten students to choose their favorite book and decorate a pumpkin to resemble the main character in the story. She encouraged them to get creative and use a variety of materials such as; paint, glitter, clothing and accessories to bring the character to life. The students then presented their decorated pumpkin and Mrs. Webre and Mrs. Shawn tried to guess the book they chose. 

Projects like this encourage children to build a strong love of reading at an early age.
